A group of high school students in New Jersey, stuck at home during the coronavirus pandemic, gathers virtually to read and discuss Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis. The alchemy of the story, in which a young man wakes in his room as a monstrous insect, kicks off a conversation among this cohort of first and second-generation immigrant teens.
